Our Wedding.. The Invitations

I’ve always believed the stationary sets the initial tone of how your guests interpret your wedding.. everything from the layout, design and information can translate the style of wedding so the guests know how formal or informal an event it is.  Zac and I wanted our guests to feel the garden tone of our Sunday afternoon wedding.  Thankfully Zac is an amazing graphic designer and used his side business, The Visual Shoppe, to design and print our invitations!  We had a great time working on them together, and more creative reign over the project.  Our venue, The Garden Room, has specific parking directions so we made a business card with our venue address info, parking instructions and the time so our guests could stick it in their wallet or car.

We chose a linen paper for casual elegance, and baby blue pearl finish envelopes from envelopes.com.

We also wanted to personalize our envelopes with PhotoStamps and a custom return address stamp from Etsy Shop, Purple Lemon Designs!

Our wedding had a dessert bar, so for fun we asked our wedding guests to tell us their favorite dessert on our RSVP cards..

We also used the picture of my engagement ring as the PhotoStamp for the response cards!  We received so many compliments on the PhotoStamps and had people say, “we hated to throw the envelope away!”.. so, we went with a postcard for our thank you notes with another photo!  I love the monogram and flowers Zac put on the back of the cards.

I’m so glad we had some left over for a keepsake :)

Our Wedding.. Bridesmaids Dresses

I REALLY wish I could go back to this place with these girls right now.. it was so beautiful! And the perfect fun photo op ;)  Our decorator Keith Taylor truly made my vision of a garden party come to life.

The overall feel of our wedding was a romantic garden setting with classic colors.  I love the use of texture with materials and color and wanted the bridesmaids’ dresses to contribute to that, and also be a fit/style that they prefer.  All the dresses came from local Fayetteville favorite, Maude Boutique.

Chloe chose a beige ruffle halter neck that hit right above the knees.

We added the flower sash using a flower pin I scored at Hobby Lobby and a ribbon sash Chloe got at JoAnn’s Fabric.

Taylor wore a light pink dress with a lace ivory overlay.  The cap sleeves were precious on her!

We also added a sash to Taylor’s dress with a flower from Hobby Lobby and sash from JoAnn’s.

Veronica’s dress brought a little more color to the palette with the light pink, gray and yellow flowers.

I loved the scallop bottom silhouette of the dress.

My gorgeous attendants all wore shades of coral to pink.

I’m pretty sure Michael Jackson was playing here :)

And the precious flowergirl, our Shih Tzu Sophie!

Here is a pic of our lovely head table on the stage at the Garden Room where I married my best friend a few weeks ago.  It truly was magical.  I’m so thankful for our amazing designer and friend, Keith Taylor, for creating this space!  After the ceremony, Keith transformed the stage into our head “tea party inspired” table.. He brought every idea and picture I had collected to life!  We will have more pics to come over the next few months as they roll in.. I am especially excited to see the ones from our photographer, Kaity Whitman with The Photo Love.
