Dry cuticles? Pick up a bottle of HaKen cuticle oil at Sally’s! My nail technician at Revive Day Spa, Karen, recommends applying the oil several times a day for best results.

Ombre French manicured tips fading into the light pink polish, must try this fall.
Here’s my little how-to on achieving this look!
You can use any combination of colors, but I prefer to do a light shimmer color on the tips fading into light pink for a natural look.
The Colors:
OPI DS Classic (left)
OPI Start To Finish (middle)
OPI Bubble Bath (right)
Base Coat: Paint entire nail with OPI Start to Finish
1st Coat: Paint 1/4” of your nail tip with the DS Classic
2nd Coat: Paint entire nail with Bubble Bath
3rd Coat: Paint 1/8” of your nail tip with DS Classic
4th Coat: Paint entire nail with Bubble Bath
5th Coat: Paint very tip of your nail with DS Classic
Top Coat: Paint entire nail with Start To Finish
I’ve had a lot of fun experimenting with this technique and am looking forward to trying new color combinations!

Polish Up Your Summer
Ladies, nail polish that doesn’t chip is now available!
If you’re like me, a natural manicure will only last 2 days if I’m lucky! Being a hair stylists with my hands constantly in product, water and hair has made it a little difficult to keep polish on in the past, but I’ve found my way… with the shellac nail polish cured in a UV light, my manicure lasts 10-14 days chip-free!
I’ve shopped around NWA a little for the best place and happy to report back it’s Karen at Revive Day Spa located on the corner of Zion and Crossover next door to FAC. Another perk is with any spa service at Revive, you will receive a day pass to FAC… my idea: get a shellac mani and a spa pedi, then go lounge by the pool :)

Sally Hansen Salon Effects!
This weekend I tried out #350 Misbehaved! They are still looking great and chip-free 2 days later. They are so easy to apply and there is no drying time! Sally Hansen Salon Effects retail for around $7-$9 depending on where you shop (Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Ulta, etc.) and there are 24 styles to choose from. I loved putting them on and being able to walk out the door with dry nails a couple minutes later.
Happy to say I have no excuse for shabby nails now :)
